AN INTRODUCTION TO MERIDIAN POINTS
EFT works within the system of your body’s electrical nature. Nerve impulses flow along neuro-
pathways and cross at well-established points in the body. These points are referred to as “meridian
points” and are the main focus of oriental medicine. Acupuncture, acupressure, and Emotional
Freedom Technique (EFT), are all examples of meridian therapies.
These points are labeled as follows:
We can use our knowledge of meridian points to quickly release trapped emotional charges (anger,
fear, sadness, anxiety, etc…) that are still stuck in the body. This is called “Emotional Freedom
Technique” (EFT) and is highly effective in providing relief from negative feelings.
THE BASIC MECHANICS OF EFT:
To perform EFT efficiently, choose a bad memory from which you wish to be free.
Rank this negative memory on a scale from 0 (NOT UPSET) TO 10 (VERY UPSET).

Let's suppose that Sally is experiencing anxiety over an upcoming math test. Her anxiety level is at an
8, and she feels this anxiety in the form of her stomach churning and her heart pounding. Here is how
Sally could use EFT to quell this anxiety in her body:
1) Sally first chooses a "reminder phrase" such as "This test anxiety"
2) Sally rates her level of anxiety on a scale of 0-10: It is an 8
3) Sally taps on her karate-chop point on either hand and states, "Even though I have this test anxiety,
I still deeply love and accept myself." She repeats this statement three times.
4) Sally taps her fingertips on EB (eye brow) points while stating "This test anxiety."
5) Sally taps her fingertips on SE (side of eye) points while stating "This test anxiety."
4) Sally taps her fingertips on UE (under eye) points while stating "This test anxiety."
5) Sally taps her fingertips on UN (under nose) points while stating "This test anxiety."
6) Sally taps her fingertips on CH (chin) points while stating "This test anxiety."
7)Sally taps her fingertips on CB (collarbone) points while stating "This test anxiety."
8) Sally taps her fingertips on UA (under arm) points while stating "This test anxiety."
9) Sally taps her fingertips on TH (top of head) points while stating "This test anxiety."
10) Finally, Sally takes a deep breath.
She notices, after this round of EFT, that her anxiety level has dropped to a 5. Sally repeats the above
steps until her anxiety reaches zero.
